Shirley Durden Minick

Shirley Durden Minick passed away September 29,2024.

Shirley lived in Savannah most of her life, graduating Savannah High in 1950.

She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Minick, parents Earl and Mildred Durden, brother Earl Durden Jr. and sister Brenda Durden Mossman.

She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Temple and served in many leadership roles throughout the years.

Shirley’s church was an extension of her family and enjoyed being surrounded by them all.

Survived by her sons Mickey Minick (Jenny), Mitchell Minick. Grandchildren, Brett Minick (Milly),

Anna Minick, Guy Minick, Molly DeGeorge (Thomas), Abby Minick. Great grandchildren, Brett Minick, Clara Minick, and Henry DeGeorge. Sister Betty Belanger (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers are Brett Minick, Thomas DeGeorge, Gary Elliot, Hugh Nowell, Dewey DeLettre, Mallie Seckinger and Jimmy Lanier.

A celebration will be held at Calvary Baptist Temple on Wednesday, October 2nd. Visitation will be at 10:30AM. The service will follow at 12:00 noon.
